A reliable source has revealed that some first team players want to see the back of Jose Mourinho as soon as possible. Naijaloaded reports.

The reigning champions have had an horrendous start to the new season, and Saturday’s loss to West Ham in the Premier League has heaped more pressure on the Chelsea boss.

Unverified reports have also suggested that Mourinho could be fired if Chelsea lose at home to Liverpool this weekend in the Premier League, though the prospect of a huge compensation payoff if the Portuguese is sacked is delaying his departure.

ESPN has also confirmed that Mourinho is fast losing the confidence of many of his players, with only John Terry, Cesc Fabregas, Diego Costa, Gary Cahill and Cesar Azpilicueta listed as those who still support him.

Mourinho’s conduct at West Ham was also reported to have angered the Chelsea hierarchy

The Chelsea manager was sent to the stands in the game against West Ham after he confronted referee Jon Moss at half time for sending off Nemanja Matic in a frantic final five minutes in the first half that saw several Chelsea players also booked for protesting. Mourinho had to watch the remainder of the game from the stands and could be fined for poor conduct by the FA.

If Mourinho is eventually sacked, former Chelsea and Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti is a possible replacement. Guus Hiddink is also another candidate linked with the job.
